What is it?

The community mending event that's changing the way we value our clothes and textiles

On Saturday 7 November 2026, councils and organisations across Australia will open their doors for a simultaneous, record-breaking mass-repair moment. People bring a garment that needs love - a button that's fallen off, a seam that's split, a favourite tee with a tear - and menders help them fix it on the spot.

No sewing experience needed. No judgement. Just the quiet joy of keeping something going a little longer.

  • Free to attend - just show up
  • All skill levels welcome (including zero)
  • Menders and repair volunteers on hand
  • Multiple venues across Australia
  • Be part of a global repair movement
